St. Luke's United Methodist Church - Houston, Texas

Our new sermon series, "Bridges," focuses on how to address the fractures in our culture. For the next three weeks, the people of St. Luke's will consider in our Sunday messages some of the chasms that separate us from others, and how to build bridges across them. We talked this week about building bridges across opinions, seeking ways to bridge the "red-blue divide."

We conclude our sermon series based on Philippians 4:8: "Finally, beloved, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is beautiful, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, focus on these things." This week "whatever is excellent" is our theme.
